Clean the wall surface. Strip off any old wallpaper and make sure that there are no adhesive residues left on the wall. Use soap and water to remove the adhesives from the old wallpaper. Strip the wall completely. Do not leave any strips of old wallpaper adhering to the wall, remove them all and leave a nice smooth surface. Any bits of old wallpaper left on the wall will create bulges under your new bead board wallpaper.
Measure the dimensions of the wall. Use a pencil and ruler to measure the area that will be covered with the new wallpaper. Take care and make sure that your measurements are accurate. Cut the wallpaper according to your measurements. Leave at least an overlap of an inch on all sides to make room for adjustments.

Brush a length of wallpaper with adhesive using a large pasting brush lay the pasted paper on the floor, paste side up, then carefully fold over from the top to the middle and again from the bottom to the middle. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes, this allows the moisture to be absorbed and will help prevent wrinkles as it dries. After the time has gone hang the bead board wallpaper carefully, making sure that there are no creases and wrinkles. While the adhesive is still wet, flatten the wrinkles and creases with a ruler to even out the surface. Let the wallpaper dry.
